4th GRADER, ELLIE, HELPS PIWHA MEMBERS, BY FINDING A WEBSITE TO BETTER IDENTIFY HOW PLASTIC BOTTLES ARE RECYCLED!
The PIWHA was contacted by Ms. Sharkey, stating that her fourth grade student Ellie used the PIWHA website to complete a Earth Day project for her class. Ellie said that our resource page was very helpful for her project. Ms. Sharkey contacted us and stated that during Ellie research for the project, that she found other great recycling resource pages, and that Ellie wanted to share the knowledge that she found with the PIWHA.
Great Job Ellie, from all of us at the PIWHA.
See email below;
Mr. Roberts,
I just wanted to send some positive feedback- this weekend a student I tutor was helping me get a head start on an environmental lesson for Earth Day this year, and when she was doing research, Ellie (she’s in 4th grade!) found your webpage, https://piwha.com/resources/ We found some great information to use from the helpful sites at the bottom, and Ellie thought we should better let you know and say thanks 🙂 and I had her pick out another good page for us to “return the favor”…
“How are Plastic Bottles Recycled?” –
http://www.oberk.com/how-are-plastic-bottles-recycled
It has interesting information on the recycling process and Ellie thought it would be a great additional link for the helpful links at the bottom of that page she found! Do you think you could add it? She’s already passionate about the environment so I think she’d really be excited to see her
suggestion:) Thanks for your time, Gary, and have a good week!!
